According to Mr. Trump´s tweet of last, his meeting with Mrs. Merkel was fraught with successes in spite of the enemy press reports in the US. Well, maybe it clears the air a little if I report that from Europe, The New York Times report was rather benign. In the Spanish, French, Portuguese, English and German press of March 17, those points of agreement and mutual support and esteem seem to have been few and far between. Of course the Chancellor´s years of experience and discipline allowed her to return home with the jewel she needed: US solid support for NATO against the ambitions of the Russian Empire´s Vladimir I. Really that is all the EC needs from us. Good work, Donald! Mrs. Merkel proved herself to be the only statesmen in the oval office that day. She can live without your hand shake and smile. Remember, there is no such thing as a little enemy. Turns out she is really the better man.
