While children were nestled so snug in their beds, the president of Syria dropped bombs on their heads. In these horrors the Syrian dictator did not act alone. His sociopathic deeds were accomplished with the support of the pilots who rained death down on sleeping children dreaming of sugar plums and also by the men who loaded the gas bombs under the wings of the planes and indeed by all those who work in and for the criminal regime of Bashar al-Assad, son of a tyrant and grandson of another. Just as in Nuremberg, there must be a trail too where these fiends are condemned for their crimes against humanity. We cannot continue to tolerate the evils of evil men who show us again and again that evil exists and that those who practice it go unpunished. Can any of us imagine Bashar al-Assad being allowed to address the General Assembly of the UN after the bodies are buried and the facades are repainted? It will happen as it always has happened! He is guilty. His supporters are guilty and by our silence, we are guilty of crimes against humanity. And, to all, a good night!
