After spending three months in Marbella and after seeing the shops and service end facilities serving European tourists, I am convinced that the legend of cultured Europeans vrs. uncouth Americans is so much nonsense. In Marbella most of the shops sell real trash. In the town there are few if any stores selling quality goods. Who are the buyers of so much junk? Europeans! Who are the offensive drunks in the streets? Who are the loud and flamboyant men and women? Maybe English, could be Germans and might be Dutch. The accents in English what I hears, ain´t Oxford talking. No. Americans have no monopoly on being culturally and civilly lacking to the naked eye,…, and ear.
